Clovis escape news, even in Russia

So where were you when you found out eight inmates poked a hole in the roof and escaped from the Curry County jail on Aug. 24?
Clovis Realtor Charles Wade was on a cruise ship near Moscow.
Wade said a shipmate from Los Angeles was reading “USA Times,” a cruise ship newspaper, when he stumbled on the Clovis news report amid tidbits about John McCain’s running mate and Tropical Storm Fay’s remnants soaking the South.
“My shipmate asked me if the prisoners were staying at my house while I was gone,” Wade said.
Wade said there were no signs of escaped prisoners when he returned to his Clovis home this week after a 28-day vacation.
